An earnest interest in education and students' welfare is an important criterion and this forms the basis of staff selection at JM Education Counselling Centre. Senior counselling staff have years of proven teaching and administrative service, an important asset in interaction with students and parents.

Teh Cheong Hua

Teh Cheong Hua was a lecturer at Sunway College for four years teaching finance and real estate subjects. He joined JMECC in late April 2006 and is responsible for administration, finance as well as market and business development.

Jean Monteiro

Jean Monteiro is a graduate of University of Malaya in B.A. English (1973) and Diploma in Education (1976). She holds a Diploma in Management (1983) from Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM).
Setting up JM Education Counselling Centre (JMECC) has enabled Jean to extend her teaching experience beyond the classroom. The wide exposure to and close links with institutions of higher learning, both local and overseas, allow JMECC to provide counselling and advice on options and opportunities for continuing education upon completion of secondary school.
Today, Jean is the Deputy General Secretary of the National Association of Private Educational Institutions (NAPEI). Jean's membership with NAPEI and her service in the National Council of NAPEI has gained her a high regard among the local institutions.

Sukanya Siva

Mrs. Sukanya Siva joined JM Education Counselling Centre in January 2004 as Marketing Manager. Sukanya is a graduate of Agricultural University Malaysia with a Bachelor of Science, Biochem (Hons), she also has a Diploma in Education and a Certificate in TESL. She has been in the education field for over 18 years. She heads the University Division. With her team of counsellors, she oversees the promotion, marketing and recruitment of students for both undergraduate and postgraduate degree courses.

Yvonne joined JMECC in 1998 as a student advisor in the pre-university division. She was the head of pre-university division from 2004 to March 2008. Yvonne has registered with the Board of Counsellors, Malaysia and now leads the Counselling & Therapy Unit (JMCTU). Yvonne has extensive and in-depth experience in providing career guidance and counselling to adolescents, adults and couples.

Heam Li Koon

Head of Pre-University Division. Heam Li Koon joined JMECC in 2006 as a counsellor in the pre-university division.
Li Koon obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration from University of Central Oklahoma in USA and now leads the pre-university division in promotion and marketing of our pre-university programmes.
